BIOGRAPHY
Vice Admiral Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Fowler, US Navy (retired), is a distinguished submariner with a 32-year career in the U.S. Navy. A 1978 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, he completed Navy nuclear propulsion training and served on multiple submarines, including Bremerton (SSN-698), Alaska (SSBN-732), and Montpelier (SSN-765). He also served as commanding officer of Charlotte (SSN-766).
During his naval career, Fowler commanded Submarine Squadron Three’s fleet of fast-attack nuclear submarines with deployments across the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic Oceans, and Persian Gulf. Ashore, he served as a nuclear propulsion examining board member and in staff roles with the Chief of Naval Operations and U.S. Strategic Command.
Fowler holds master’s degrees in Business Administration and Public Administration from Chaminade University of Honolulu and Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. After retiring from the Navy in 2010, he held senior executive positions in government contracting and education technology before contributing his leadership expertise to AMP Technologies’ advanced motor technology and renewable energy initiatives.
